What on Earth is the Spirit Doing?

Acts 13:1-4

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a member of the court of Herod the ruler, and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

Financial Update

In order for our fall programs to be successful, we need your help in the areas of praying, volunteerism and giving. As of October 7, the General Fund giving compared to budget was short $76,000. We realize that summer giving is generally down but as a result we need giving to be strong in the fall to make up for this shortfall. General Fund giving for the current fiscal year July 1 to October 7 has been averaging $19,863. Our budget requirement is $24,942. Please pray about this important matter and give as you are able. God bless you as you commit a portion of your resources to His work in reaching our community for Him.

Please pray for:

  • Our International Workers: Stephen & Marilyn Rigby, Ray & Cindy Perry, Roy & Joyce Hewko.

  • Our Pastoral Team Staff Member: Pastor of Women’s Ministries - Karen Houcher. Karen is married to Dan and they have 5 children ages 18, 16, 14 and 12.
