Spruce Grove Alliance Church

Global Outreach – Missions

ssss

We have seen over 100 members of our church sent out into the world as International Workers. Many of these areas are creative access, which unfortunately means we can’t highlight the great things these workers are accomplishing in God’s name. Please continue to pray for their safety, their well-being, and for the light of God’s love to shine through them in the dark areas of our world.

Though we presently have several International Workers in a number of locations around the world, here are some nations where we send teams from SGAC:

Antigua

It is our desire at Spruce Grove Alliance Church to fulfill the Great Commission of Matt. 28:19 and go into all the World and make disciples of all nations. For the past several years, we have had the privilege of bringing the gospel into the public and private school systems of the nations of Antigua & Barbuda, West Indies. Our teams reach out through dramas, singing, object lessons, and many more practical, God-honoring ways. We leave behind curriculum that is used for 14 weeks after our teams leave that encourages a personal relationship with Christ, not just religion.

Our mission is presenting the Gospel through drama, song and puppets in 50 schools in Antigua, West Indies and taking curriculum to 1000 grade 4 students.

Our next dates are January 18-26, 2014. We have spots for 26 team members and applications open on May 5th, 2013 at the Missions Kiosk.

The cost is $2000 and a willing, servant heart to love children.  Your commitment would be to practice and pray as a team  every 2 weeks starting in September.

Uganda

We are pleased to be sending a team of

of 8 adults to Northern Uganda April 29th to May 20th, 2013.

They have been preparing for this mission since March of 2012. Previous to this in 2011, an investigative team of 4 went to Northern Uganda to visit and stay with Bishop Ona Eliezer of Zion Methodist Church and his family in the village of Vurra.

Some of the team had met and visited with Bishop Ona on previous missions during the College of Prayer led by Pastor David Chotka (2007-2010). This 2011 investigative team was to assess if there was still ministry that Spruce Grove Alliance Church could come alongside in this community.

The Investigative Team found that Bishop Ona had been praying for 10 years for someone or some group to partner with their ministry. The team gathered information on specific areas that Zion Methodist Church desired partnership with, and after much prayer and in-depth review of the information gathered, a proposal was written for a possible mission of partnership with Bishop Ona. The proposal was accepted by the church board in June 2012, and the church is committed to at least a 3 year commitment, after which the mission will be re-evaluated regarding further missions.

MISSION PURPOSE:
To come alongside a people with limited resources, ZION METHODIST CHURCH led by BISHOP ONA ELIEZER, and partner with a ministry already in progress and impacting their community for Christ.

Spruce Grove Alliance Church will come alongside in priority areas that Zion Methodist Church has identified as best assisting their ministry:
1. By providing materials and hands on help to Build a Preschool      Cost: $21,000
2. By providing some medical supplies, medicines, and medical teaching.    Cost: $500 – $1000
3. By providing evangelism, teaching, and encouragement.       Cost:  Priceless

Each of the travel team members need to raise $3500 each for flight and living costs.

If you would like to receive prayer requests and updates or would like to pray for this mission, please sign up at the Uganda kiosk in the SGAC foyer or contact the church office. If you would like to give monetary support to this mission, cheques should be made payable to: Spruce Grove Alliance Church
