THE WILDERNESS OF AWARENESS

Charles Spurgeon said, “Consider how precious a soul must be when both God and the devil are after it.”

Ephesians 2: 1-3

"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others."

3 Predators of the Soul in the Wilderness

  1. World                        Cross of Christ             Galatians 2:20
  2. Flesh/Sin                   Blood of Christ            1 John 1: 7-9
  3. Devil                         Word of God                   Ephesians 6:11-12

Amy Carmichael said, “Bare heights of loneliness – a wilderness whose burning winds sweep over glowing sands, that are they to Him?  Even there He can refresh us, even there He can renew us.”

SCRIPTURE STONES – We have broken ground for the new addition. Each family that calls SGAC home is invited to submit a scripture stone that will be placed as part of the foundation of the new building.  You can use a rock from home or pick one up from the church (pile on the east side of the building).  Use paint or a sharpie and write down a scripture verse that God places on your heart.  You can place these rocks on the west side of the building near the gym doors.  Click here to indicate your participation in this exciting kick-off for our new build.
