SECOND ADVENT SUNDAY – PEACE

Advent is the beginning of the Christian calendar, our New Year. This season is set aside to reflect on the significance of Jesus’ first coming and remind us that the process of salvation is not a “one and done” but an ongoing process of sanctification.

The First Sunday of Advent introduces the theme, Hope, hope that is rooted in the character and promises of God. This Sunday, the Second Sunday of Advent, the theme is Peace. In John 14:27 Jesus said “I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart”.

What a gift!! We will explore this gift that comes from the Prince of Peace!!
