Collaborative Caring Community

This coming Sunday will wrap up the “First Things First” series with a “Collaborative Caring Community”. We are going to bring this series to crescendo at the Communion table. What a great way to unite our hearts as one as we remember oneness that God accomplished for us through the cross of Christ.

YOUTH SUNDAY SERIES  September 25 to October 23 at 9:15 am (following the worship and communion) in the Fireside room.  Bryan Kincheloe will discuss  “What does it mean to be a Christian?” 

SINGIN’ THE GOSPEL -  Sunday, September 25 at 6:00 pm. Join us for a night of worship with Sweet Presence as our featured guests. There is no admission for this concert but an offering will be taken. 

ADULT GROWTH GROUPS start this week. If you haven’t already registered do that online today by clicking HERE. Catalogues are available at the Welcome Centre. 

KEENAGERS (Seniors 55+) CORN ROAST – Wednesday, September 28 at 10:00 am in the Oasis.  Bring a salad or dessert to share. Come & connect with other SGAC seniors – we hope you’ll join us! 

NEW ATTENDERS LUNCH – Sunday, October 2 after the 11:15 service in the Oasis. If you are new to SGAC & haven’t yet been to a New Attenders Lunch, plan to join us. You’ll have a chance to meet our pastors & elders and learn more about SGAC. Please click HERE to register so we can ensure there is enough food.  See you next week! 

KIDS CHRISTMAS MUSICAL AUDITIONS - Tuesday, October 4 from 3:30 pm to 5 pm for all grade 2-6
children. If your child would like a solo, an acting role or a dancing role please come for auditions on the 4th. The Christmas musical will be during both services on December 11. Head over to our event calendar for all rehearsal dates. Please note that these roles will be live streamed.

WOMEN’S DEEP DISH – Tuesday, October 4 at 7:00 pm in the Fireside Room. A casual time for women to come together & get connected. Come hear a testimony, participate in a craft / activity and there may even be some dessert to share as you build friendships with other women.  Click HERE to register. 

FILL THE PANTRY - On Sunday, October 9 let’s GIVE thanks by filling the front of the sanctuary with pantry items for Grace’s Pantry.  Go to “Local & Global Outreach” on our website by clicking HERE for more information on Grace’s Pantry and a list of popular items.  Let’s make a difference in our community this Thanksgiving! 

GRIEF SHARE – New Start Date - October 12. Click HERE to register online. This grief support group is open to anyone in the Parkland County area and offers help & encouragement after the death of a loved one. 

WORSHIP, ARTS & TECH RETREAT - Friday, October 14 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm & Saturday, October 15 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This is open to ALL Worship, Arts or Tech team members or those that would like to get involved in this ministry. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday. Giving Update

Please note the following options for giving: 

ONLINE GIVING
Whether it is a one-time gift or you would like to schedule a recurring donation, you can  give online to Spruce Grove Alliance Church.  This option allows you to give using a Visa debit card or the traditional Visa or MasterCard credit cards. 

PRE-AUTHORIZED GIVING
Pick up a pre-authorized debit agreement form from our church office or download one here. You can fill it out and then with a voided cheque - you can either scan it and email it to the office, or drop it off during regular office hours. 

INTERAC/DEBIT
During office hours, you can drop by and use the INTERAC/DEBIT machine at the Welcome Centre, then fill out your donation envelope as normal including your name, address, giving number and insert your debit receipt so we can disburse funds as directed in the Box on the counter. 

E-TRANSFER
Use E-Transfer to give at SGAC, using give@sgac.net.  Please include your offering envelope number and contact information.  In the notes section please indicate how you would like your donation designated, ie. General Fund, Canadian Ministries etc.. The money is deposited directly into the church account and does not require a security question.  (This method of giving is not to be used for registrations.) 

IN PERSON
During office hours, you can stop by the church office and drop off your donation in a sealed envelope.  Mark it Finance / Confidential

  • Our Christian Workers: Kyle & Maggie Ibsen live in Atlanta  & work with Amoveo mission who have projects in Haiti.  Kyle’s parents attend SGAC. 
  • Pastoral Team Staff Member: Pastor of Adult Ministries and Missions - Pastor Joel Marquez. Joel is married to Lolet.
  • Our Support Staff Team Member: Candice Terney. Candice is married to Mike and they have five children.
