WEEKLY NEWS FOR SUNDAY July 11, 2021

THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF THE MOUNTAIN TOP

Amy Grant wrote these lyrics,
“And I'd love to live on a mountain top
Fellowshipping with the Lord
I'd love to stand on a mountain top
'Cause I love to feel my spirit soar
But I've got to come down from that mountain top
To the people in the valley below
Or they'll never know that they can go
To the mountain of the Lord”

We forget that our mountain top experiences are tied to the valley below. We will be starting in Matthew 17. Join us as we consider mountain tops and valleys of the spiritual life.

GOOD NEWS
- We heard from the district office recently that the District Executive Committee (DEXCOM) approved our request for financing. Hallelujah!!  This on top of the permits received from the city allows us to continue with the building plans.  With the shortage/delays of some building supplies we ask you to pray with us for God’s timing.

SCRIPTURE STONES – We have broken ground for the new addition. Each family that calls SGAC home is invited to submit a scripture stone that will be placed as part of the foundation of the new building.  You can use a rock from home or pick one up from the church (pile on the east side of the building).  Use paint or a sharpie and write down a scripture verse that God places on your heart.  You can place these rocks on the west side of the building near the gym doors.  Click here to indicate your participation in this exciting kick-off for our new build.
