CLEAN PAGES

Today & next week we are diving into the “clean pages” of First & Second Samuel where we’ll compare and contrast Israel’s first two kings – Saul & David. The theme of First & Second Samuel is “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”. Today we will see how this theme plays itself out in the lives of King Saul & David.

ARE YOU NEW TO SGAC? We want to help you get connected.  Fill out a connection card and stop by the Welcome Centre so we can meet you & give you a small gift to say thanks for joining us.  We hope SGAC will soon start to feel like home! 

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING is available for nursery to Grade Six. Please visit the Check In Kiosk in the Foyer to sign in your children.

AWANA REGISTRATION  is open for ages 3 to Gr. 12. AWANA is a place where kids connect with God through hearing and memorizing the Bible and being with friends during gym and table time.  Starts Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 4 - 5:30 pm and 5:40 - 6:40 pm for Grades 7 - 12.  Visit www.sgac.net for more information and to  register.

OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT August 29 at 7:30 pm Join us in our parking lot for a drive-in movie     screening of “I Still Believe”. You will need access to a vehicle in order to hear the movie as sound will be transmitted through the radio. This is a free event for adults & families with older children. Donations are appreciated with all proceeds over & above our costs going towards paying off the CLC.  Click here for more information and to register by August 28.

ON SEPTEMBER 3 , we return to two services at  9:15 am  and 11:15 am. Mark your calendars to take note of this change.

EQUIPPING EVENT September 9 at 9:00 am - Join us for a workshop with guest Verna Verity on how to be better equipped for ministry by learning how to "join God" in what He's doing in people's lives by having conversations that move people forward in their faith. This event is open to all SGAC  volunteers. There will be breakout sessions at 12:00 for Growth Group leaders, ushers &  greeters. Those interested in ushering or greeting and want to learn more about it are also welcome. Click here for more information & to register by September 7.

KEENAGERS (55+) CORN ROAST September 13 at 11:30 am – Come for a time of fellowship to kick off the new ministry year. This event is offsite at Arlie Jespersen’s farm. Registration is appreciated to help us plan. Go to the website to register and watch for an email response with the address and directions (or call the church office). Please bring a salad or dessert to share. For more information contact Pastor Steve.

GRIEFSHARE starts September 13 at 7:00 pm - This 14 week grief support group offers help &                   encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend and is open to anyone in the Parkland County area. Click here for more information & to register.

SAVE THE DATE  Our Annual General Meeting will take place at 2pm on September 17.  Please plan to attend.

Please note the following options for giving: 

ONLINE GIVING
Whether it is a one-time gift or you would like to schedule a recurring donation, you can  give online to Spruce Grove Alliance Church.  This option allows you to give using a Visa debit card or the traditional Visa or MasterCard credit cards. 

PRE-AUTHORIZED GIVING
Pick up a pre-authorized debit agreement form from our church office or download one here. You can fill it out and then with a voided cheque - you can either scan it and email it to the office, or drop it off during regular office hours. 

INTERAC/DEBIT
During office hours, you can drop by and use the INTERAC/DEBIT machine at the Welcome Centre, then fill out your donation envelope as normal including your name, address, giving number and insert your debit receipt so we can disburse funds as directed in the Box on the counter. 

E-TRANSFER
Use E-Transfer to give at SGAC, using give@sgac.net.  Please include your offering envelope number and contact information.  In the notes section please indicate how you would like your donation designated, ie. General Fund, Canadian Ministries etc.. The money is deposited directly into the church account and does not require a security question.  (This method of giving is not to be used for registrations.) 

IN PERSON
During office hours, you can stop by the church office and drop off your donation in a sealed envelope.  Mark it Finance / Confidential 

By MAIL / CHEQUE
