ARE YOU NEW TO SGAC? We want to help you get connected.  Fill out a Connection Card and stop by the Welcome Centre so we can meet you & give you a small gift to say thanks for joining us.  We hope SGAC will soon start to feel like home! 

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES  Deadline for drop off is November 12, next Sunday.  Pick up a shoebox and brochure at the Welcome Centre today. It may be the only gift a child receives this year. 

GRACE’S TABLE - We all go through tough times. If a meal would be helpful for you or someone you   know, Grace's Table would love to help out with a warm and nutritious meal. Meal pick up is Friday,   November 10 between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Register here before Monday, November 6 or by calling the office.

YOUTH FRIDAY NIGHT EVENTS - November 24 at 7:00 pm is MISSING PERSONS for all youth. Parent volunteers are needed as the youth wander through West Edmonton Mall in search of their leaders who are in disguise. Contact Pastor Josh if you can help out.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS MUSICAL REHEARSALS for all Grade 1 to 6 children. The children are  practicing their songs on Sunday mornings and it’s almost time to practice on the stage with the full cast. Join us for three Saturday morning rehearsals, November 25, December 2 & 9 from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS - November 25 at 1:00 pm. The holidays are challenging when you’re grieving a loss. GriefShare’s “Surviving the Holidays” provides encouragement, support & valuable tools to navigate the season. Join us for this 2-hour seminar. Click here to register.

MISSIONS SUNDAY BOOTH HOSTS NEEDED – On December 3 the focus of our service will be Missions and following the 11:15 service we will have a mini missions fest in the upstairs CLC auditorium. We are looking for people whose heritage is from a different country OR who have a heart for a specific country to host a booth highlighting that country. Please email Kim by November 5 to let us know you’re interested. Contact Pastor Joel for more information.

SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS are available in the E-Loop on Wednesdays or email  to receive them on Sunday afternoon.

During the month of October, SGAC ran our “This Changes Everything” campaign to reduce the interest expenses on our new Community Life Centre so we can use those resources instead in other worthwhile places. Thanks to your generosity we raised a  total of just over $180,000. Praise the Lord! Thank you for participating in this amazing journey with  our church family.

DESIGNATED FUNDS TRANSITION   With the completion of the Community Life Center, the Board of Elders has changed how we fund further future development while recognizing other needs that raise significant challenges. On October 31 we closed the Future Development Fund.  All new donations will be desginated to “The Building Fund”. This fund will be disbursed as most needed towards:

  • Current CLC Debt Principle.
  • CLC mortgage payments including interest portion if the General Fund is unable to meet payment.
  • Future Development savings for next phases of Long Term Plan.
  • Savings for large building capital expenses that could not be covered by a normal annual budget line item.     
  • Thank you for continuing to give to the Building Fund. 

 Please note the following options for giving: 

Whether it is a one-time gift or you would like to schedule a recurring donation, you can  give online to Spruce Grove Alliance Church.  This option allows you to give using a Visa debit card or the traditional Visa or MasterCard credit cards. 

Pick up a pre-authorized debit agreement form from our church office or download one here. You can fill it out and then with a voided cheque - you can either scan it and email it to the office, or drop it off during regular office hours. 

During office hours, you can drop by and use the INTERAC/DEBIT machine at the Welcome Centre, then fill out your donation envelope as normal including your name, address, giving number and insert your debit receipt so we can disburse funds as directed in the Box on the counter. 

Use E-Transfer to give at SGAC, using  Please include your offering envelope number and contact information.  In the notes section please indicate how you would like your donation designated, ie. General Fund, Canadian Ministries etc.. The money is deposited directly into the church account and does not require a security question.  (This method of giving is not to be used for registrations.) 

During office hours, you can stop by the church office and drop off your donation in a sealed envelope.  Mark it Finance / Confidential

Our Christian Workers  -  Ace & Cecelia Cheung work with the C&MA in Niger and are part of the SGAC’s cluster group.  They have two daughters.

Our Support Team Staff Member - Kim Friesen - Admin Assistant. Kim is married to Paul and they have three children.
