Are you comfortable in the kitchen? There are many opportunities to serve, including meal prep, cooking, cleanup, and food serving in various capacities. We also offer meals to those in need in our community and church family, having some Big Cook days now and then to fill the church freezer!
Or perhaps you’re interested in helping with coffee ministry for weekend services!
Kitchen Helpers for Newcomers Events
If you like to putz in the kitchen and would like to participate in helping serve a meal and/or dessert to people who are new to SGAC, we would love to talk to you! Newcomers’ Luncheons or Dessert Nights happen every six months (or so) and are designed for newcomers to enjoy some food, learn about our church, get to know some people, and meet some of the pastors from our pastoral team. It is an informal way of helping newcomers feel welcome and a great opportunity to answer any questions they may have.
Many hands make light work. Helpers for Newcomers Events would be part of a small team of people in the kitchen, and would help prepare food, serve, and clean up. ‘Training’ can be provided, but if you cook & clean at home, then you definitely can handle this! Tours of the kitchen & its contents will be provided by a professional tour company, and if you choose to wash dishes with our commercial dishwasher, we guarantee you will get wet. It’s just like a ride at Disneyworld! (but without the cost)
Funeral Kitchen Ministry

Will you help?
